About Us

“A little bit of Slovenia on this side of the ocean” would best describe the camp (or the ‘Farma’ as it is commonly known).  These 22 acres of recreational land is a place where people of Slovenian heritage can gather to meet, unite, worship, play and enjoy each others company.  Members have a stake in the grounds in that they have trailers/cottages (currently there are about 130 of them) spread around the property. Daily visitors are welcome.  Look at the the other pages to get a feel of the events and facilities offered here.

The camp was started in 1958 by the early immigrants from Slovenia. Since everybody was new to this country, it was planned that this would be a great retreat area to congregate on weekends. To read more about the history of the camp get the very well put together hardcover book ‘Slovenian Summer Camp 1958-1998’
